  The flap disc is a revolutionary coated abrasive product that combines the stock removal capabilities of a depressed center wheel with the surface finishing of resin fibre discs. A series of flaps made of abrasive cloth are attached to a backing plate made of either fiberglass or a composite in a fan-like arrangement. As the flaps wear during use, new grains are continuously being exposed. One unique flap disc is Walter’s Enduro flex which allows you, because of special polymers, to actually reduce the backing plate diameter as you are grinding so you are able to use more of the product.
